BMI, or Body-Mass Index, is an inaccurate way of telling if somebody is overweight or obese. It fails to account for muscle versus fat, and doesn't factor in body fat. This means that I have a BMI of 23.4, which is quite close to being overweight. The thing is, it's all in muscle - if I suck in my stomach, my ribs stick out about 3 inches over. This is silly! Why do people trust such a misleading number?
